The Federation of Belle Vue Infants and Newport Junior Schools

Belle Vue Infants and Newport Junior Schools were federated in March 2006. This means they share one governing body and one Headteacher, but they still retain their unique identities as schools.

Many exciting opportunities have been created by both schools working together more closely. We can provide better continuity for the children as they progress from Belle Vue to Newport. Teachers and support staff are able to work closely together to plan the curriculum from YR to Y6 and to ensure all children have full access to high quality teaching and learning experiences. Although the schools are not on the same site, the pupils will often join up for projects or themed days or for parts of the curriculum such as sports day.

Newport Junior School

Newport Junior School is a non-denominational school catering for boys and girls from seven to eleven. The school serves the North Town area of Aldershot.

The school is an old Victorian building with much character. It consists of two main buildings, joined together by a large conservatory, which is a unique feature of the school. It currently consists of 10 classes with three classes in each Year 3 and 4 class and 2 classes in each upper school year group . Over the course of this academic year, 2013/2014, we are building 3 further classrooms to ensure we have the capacity to become 3 form entry all of the way through. As part of our building project, we are also rennovating the old Music room into a brand new library and ICT suite with a mezannine floor to create additional teaching space. In addition there will be a brand new Music room which all classes will be timetabled to use.
